The Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush spine surgeons are renowned both nationally and internationally for superior diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of patients with neck, back, and spine pain disorders, deformities, and/or injuries. Dr. Kern Singh is known for cutting-edge clinical research. He has developed many of the techniques and procedures that he and other spinal surgeons use. Dr. Singh is among the first in the nation to identify ways to slow down the degeneration of intervertebral discs and to repair damaged discs using non-surgical and surgical approaches. He is among the first to participate in FDA clinical trials of artificial cervical disc replacement. Dr. Singh performs minimally invasive spine surgery that has been validated in scientific study with high reported success rates. He is a frequent speaker at national and international spine meetings.

Research is central to Dr. Singh’s mission of bringing cutting edge spine care to his patients, and reflects his interest in carrying on scientific and educational work, in addition to his clinical focus. He has endeavored to deliver access to clinical research that can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

He is a frequent speaker at National and International Spine meetings (Japan, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and India to name a few).
